Here I'm watching House S4 finale on AXN, and I feel this sudden pang of sadness.
Well I know what is going to happen because I watched it before, but -spoilers-
when I thought about the way Amber was going to die, and I was really, really sad.

I guess it's because her death is such a...really was in hindsight, an unfortunate accident. Not, not because of the bus crash she was in, but that the point of origin was innocuous flu medicine.
Yes her death was due to many factors coming together in sequence, but nothing and noone, not even House, could be entirely blamed for what happened.
And it got me thinking, sometimes things you'd never expect to happen would, or that somehow, something mundane you did earlier the day, would go on coupled with some other event, to put your life in great danger, or that it is just the very beginning of the an unfortunate chain of events.
House does that alot, but this case struck a chord in me the deepest.
Maybe it was the way this the finale was orchestrated, the raw emotions, the magnificent performance of the actors, the sheer irony, or that Amber grew on me, she is, afterall the female version of House.
And no, I don't think Wilson was acting selfish when he told House to risk his life to save Amber, even if his desperation saturated the air of this entire episode.

"It doesn't hurt in here. "
"I don't want it to hurt."
"He's my best friend."
"I don't want him to hate me."
This broke my heart.

Their relationship will be strained beyond anything, but I guess it paves the road for the recovery ( and subsequent gay) in S5.

tl;dr,
Amber died of Amantadine (flu meds) poisoning due to her kidneys being damaged in the accident.
Poor, poor Wilson.
And because of Wilson's grief, poor poor House.
On the other hand, LOL! at 13's Huntington's Positive.
Goodbye Amber ;(
